Being an astringent, it also tightens the skin and keeps it hydrated,thanks to its high water content. Plus, it is a good source of vitamin C and other antioxidants that help maintain clear, glowing and younger-looking skin.It is good for reducing dark circles under the eyes, too.


Aloe vera is another great ingredient for aging skin as it stimulates cell renewal. Also, the soothing and moisturizing gel is good for treating acne and sunburn. Sun damage is a key contributor to skin aging.

How to make mask:

Peel one-half of a cucumber and then chop it. Toss the cucumber chunks into a blender. Now add 2table spoons of fresh aloe vera gel, 1/2 tea spoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and ½ tea spoon of pure rose water. Blend the mixture for a couple of minutes.


How to apply:

Wash your face and neck, and pat dry. Apply this beauty mask on your face and neck. Leave it on for about 20minutes. Rinse it off and then splash cold water on your face. Do this once or twice a week on a regular basis.

Turmeric is one of the most common ingredients in homemade masks. How to make mask:

Put 2tablespoons of plain yogurt in a mixing bowl. Make sure the yogurt is free from whey. Add 2 teaspoons of gram flour to the bowl. Now you can add ½ tea spoon lemon juice and ½ tea spoon Neem leaf powder to it. Finally,add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. It is recommended to use organic turmeric powder for the best results. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Mix the contents of the bowl thoroughly until you get a smooth consistency.


 How to apply:

Wash your face and neck, and pat dry. Apply it on your face with a makeup brush for an even application. Allow it to dry completely, and then scrub it off with your dampened fingers. Finally, rinse your face. You can use this turmeric and gram four mask once a week.


Note : Make sure that your skin is free of any cosmetics, lotion or cream before applying the face mask. Skip adding lemon juice to the face mask if you have any cuts or wounds on your skin. Being acidic, it might burn. Instead of lemon juice, you can use rose water.

Honey that has moisturizing and humectant properties, it makes a great face mask for normal to dry skin.

  • ½ Ripe avocado
  • 1 Table spoon raw honey
  • 2 Table spoon plain organic Greek yogurt
  • 1 Table spoon wheat grass juice


How to make mask:

Scoop out the pulp of ½ avocado. Mash it thoroughly using a fork. Add 2 table spoon of Greek yogurt and 1 table spoon of wheat grass juice. Then add 1tablespoon of raw honey. Finally, mix all the ingredients thoroughly until you get a smooth consistency.


 How to apply:

Wash your face and neck, and pat dry. Apply this paste on your face and neck. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing it off. Use this soothing face mask several times a week.
